How can I enter the Games?
The easiest is to enter on line. Go to the Registrations Page - this has a link to our secure Masters Games on-line registration system.
You can collect an entry book from sports clubs, sports stores, gymnasiums or from the Games retail partners throughout the South Island or you can contact a Games sports coordinator or Games management who will send you an entry booklet in the post.
What is the difference between the Registration Fee and the Sports Fee?
The Registration fee goes towards the overal running costs of the Games and the Sports Fee goes direct to each sport to help in the running of each competition.
What do I get for my Games Registration?

If I enter more than 1 sport do I have to pay 2 sports fees?
Yes, you must pay a sports fee for each of the sports you enter but only 1 registration fee.
If I'm part of a team, do I still need to register?
Yes, every team member needs to pay the registration fee and sports fee. A team and all members of that team can be registered together or individually. People can also be added to a team later on.
If I have to pull out, do I get a refund?
Yes, if we receive written notification by September 15th that you must pull out of the Games, you will receive a refund minus $25 administration fee.
How much is the late fee and when does it take effect?
The Registration Fee is $60. However there is an additional Late Fee is $20 ie a total of $80.00 Registration Fee after September 15th.
There is an earlybird discount of $15 if you enter by July 1st i.e. the Registration Fess is just $45.
Who do I contact if I have questions about my sport?
The first point of call is always the sports coordinator. Contact details are on the website under SPORTS TIMETABLE.
When are the sports draws available?
Typically all sports draws are available one week out from the start of your competition and are posted on the Games website.
Why aren't the draws available now?
Draws cannot be completed until entries have closed and the sports convenors have had time to review the entry information from all teams/entrants and then schedule all the events. This is also why the exact schedule is not confirmed until closer to the Games.
What happens if I want to enter as a supporter?
The Supporters Package is designed for Partners, Friends, Family and other people, who would like to be part of the Games experience but not compete. To enter as a supporter will cost you $40 and entitles you to an offical accreditation pass, Games Sports Bag, Masters Games Handbook and entry to all Games Social Functions. You can enter online or at the Games Village when the Games start.
How can I become a VOLUNTEER at the Games?

Do netball teams have to supply their own umpires?
It's always preferable to supply your own umpire as umpires are hard to come by, but it's not compulsory. Netball charges a fee of $250.00 per team if you do not provide an umpire.
I missed my medal ceremony, how do I receive my medal?
In the first instance contact the sports coordinator or secondly Games Management. We will organise for a medal to be sent to you.
I want to compete in swimming but am not a registered Masters Swimmer. Does this matter?
Absolutely not. Anyone can compete in the Masters Games as long as you fulfil the age criteria set by each sport.
