NEW! Leave the car at home, take the bus!! Double decker bus to pick up and drop off participants to the nightly parties at the Games!
We will be running a double decker bus around a route covering most of the accommodation areas in Nelson to our social venues. For a $2 coin you can take all the hassles out of parking. Maps of route will be available at Games Village during Games week so why not park the car or van at a pick up point?
Besides the sporting activities, which usually take place during the day, you will get an unforgettable party atmosphere. The nine night social programme will cater for all tastes with themed entertainment nights featuring live performances and music, and a chance to sample the very best that the Nelson region has to offer.
We know that many participants want to come prepared and get dressed up in theme outfits - so here is where you find out what is going on.

Happy Hour Bar - 4pm-6pm - every night at the Games VIllage at Saxton Field - A chance to meet with teammates, make new friends and discuss the day's play. To quench your thirst we'll have some of Nelson's finest on tap from McCashins Brewery; Stoke beers, Rochdale and Frute ciders and famous 26000 Vodka. There will be live music daily.
We will be putting on the biggest party ever seen in Nelson!
Grab your boarding passes and take off with the Masters Games Flight Night. Check in begins at 7pm. Venue - the Air Nelson Hangar, Nelson Airport.
Dancing in the aisles is allowed, order your choice Nelson food and wine from the Trolly Dolly and plug in to the fabulous sounds of The New Entrants from Christchurch. The New Entrants were a huge hit in Timaru last year when they played the Back to School Party. You'll also be able to watch the rugby from cockpit.

Join us to celebrate our take on one of Nelson's icons as we pay homage to wearable art. Come dressed in your own sportable art collection - Serena Williams tennis outfits, kiwi cricket Beige Brigade or classic golfing attire. We'll also have the big screen set up for the rugby.

Monday 17th October - Sunset Cruise!
Sunset Cruise to Pipin Island! - chill out with a group of mates on the sparkling waters of Nelson Harbours on Abel Tasman Sea Shuttles' 'Crusader' and watch the sun go down over Mt Arthur and the Tasman Range.
Get in quick! Departing at 5.45pm-6pm the 2 - 2 1/2 hour cruise is limited to the first 150 booked.
$15 per person, includes a complimentary drink on arrival
Food vendors on dock selling food which is then able to be taken on board.

Monday 17th October - Rita and Douglas - Jennifer Ward-Leland and Michael Houstoun join together to present the words, music and images of two of NZ's cultural icons, Rita Angus and Douglas Lilburn, in a story that combines theatre, music and art to tell a most unusual love story
Tuesday 18th October - Billy T and Me with Peter Rowley -A unique and humurous glimpse of what it was like to work with our 'Cus'behind the scenes of a legendary show. 8pm at The Theatre Royal $34
Wednesday 19th October - Antonio Forcione - Hailed as the 'Jimi Hendrix of the acoustic guitar', award-winning Forcione is considered one of the most charismatic and inventive performers to come out of Europe in recent times. 8.30pm, at The Festival Tent, Flounders Park. $38
